We asked our Erasmus students from the academic year 2021/2022 to comment on their experience in Croatia and their studies at the Zagreb School of Business. Here are the answers to our questions:
How did you choose Zagreb School of Business and Croatia for your Erasmus stay? Did it meet your expectations? Were you satisfied with the choice of courses in English? How was your experience with the faculty, and your relationship with professors? Did you get to know some Croatian students? What was your experience living in Zagreb? Did you travel? Where? What did you like most in Zagreb/Croatia? Would you come back?
Luan Monteiro from UNIP University (Brasil)
Actually, ZSB chose me, but I can’t be happier than I am. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. The experience was amazing and I hope that more people like me will have the same opportunity.
Every teacher helped me in their own way. I am a journalism student in Brazil so I had no experience with marketing, only communication, and everyone was so helpful that I really learned everything I needed to….
Agathe Chalier from EFAP University (France)
I choose Croatia because I wanted to get to know some other country in the EU and Croatia seemed to be a good choice. And I choose ZSB because the study program was in line with my interests.
I was very satisfied with the English courses because it is an opportunity for me to improve my English. Our relationship with all the teachers was very good, they were very helpful and all the courses were really interesting.
What I like the most in Zagreb are the beautiful monuments all over the city and everything that I can’t find in France. And of course, I will be back !!! Hopefully soon!

The atmosphere in Zagreb is amazing, the safety and how nice people are. The thing I loved the most is the nightlife and how people are always in the caféshop at the end of the afternoon.

I wanted to discover some East-European countries, and Croatia was the destination that thrilled me the most. I looked at some pictures of the country, most especially of Zagreb and finally decided to choose your beautiful country.
The stay really met my expectations: for students, life is quite affordable, which allows us to do many activities and travel a lot, within Croatia and to neighbouring countries.
the lessons were very interesting. The teachers helped us overcome our different levels of knowledge. I discovered other ways of learning and courses that I had never done before. It was a win for me.
The faculty is well located, I really enjoyed staying at ZSB because there are various cafes in the immediate vicinity that are important for our student life.
I really enjoyed living in Zagreb, I fell in love with the city. People are very kind and hospitable. The city offers many activities, places to have fun, to drink or eat. Also, it is full of foreign students. We can never be bored in Zagreb.

I was very satisfied with the courses, I learned a lot about marketing and how to be creative to come up with new solutions for contemporary problems. The professors were friendly and happy to help me with any questions I had. They are high-level professionals and have deep knowledge.
I liked the centre of the city of Zagreb, there are so many opportunities to socialize with Erasmus colleagues and get to know each other. I also liked the public transport, I could go everywhere.
Croatia is a beautiful country and I tried to visit as many places as possible. I went to Dubrovnik, Rijeka, Opatija, Split, Karlovac, Vrbovsko and Ogulin. I really had a good time, beautiful cities and can amaze anyone. I travelled by train around the country which was very pleasant. I am very much looking forward to returning to Croatia as soon as possible.
