Announcement: Karlo Kapusta, ‘Factors of Success in Modern Tourism

As part of the elective course “Global Issues in the Travel Industry and E-Tourism”, on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 18:00 to 19:10, we will host lecturer Karlo Kapusta.

Karlo holds a Master’s degree in Tourism Economics, specializing in event management (FMTU), and began his career in the hospitality industry during his high school years, working at the reception of the International and Palace Hotels in Zagreb.

His passion for tourism has continued to grow over the years, with Karlo expanding his experience as a certified adventure guide, private concierge on trips, and a local tour guide for several counties.

Today, he is the owner of DMK (Destination Management Company) and the travel agency Bespoke Croatia, where he designs and implements private multi-day tours, day trips, and specialized sightseeing with a focus on personalized service and authentic, unconventional experiences.

He believes in the importance of continuous professional development and regularly participates in education and expert programs.

In his meeting with students, he will share his extensive experience working with outbound markets, explain how globalization shapes the needs and expectations of foreign tourists in Croatia, and highlight key competencies and success factors in modern tourism — especially in an industry that is constantly evolving and requires continuous adaptation.
